UPDATE: The concert will start at 6pm on Friday, September 21st, 2012. Shrink the Giant will be the first to perform. YAY! Bring your cell phones because voting will be via text at the concert.
What are you doing this Friday (September 21st) night Utah? Nothing? Oh perfect… I have your night planned. X-96 is continuing their “Put Your Band in our Bash” Contest and you will have the chance to show support for my FAVORITE local band… Shrink the Giant. How does a little FREE “battle of the bands” concert Utah style sound? (In case you were wondering the correct answer is AWESOME) And they aren’t just my favorite because it’s my adorable 17 year old niece’s band. It’s because they are that awesome. (Slightly Sarcastic Side Note: Not supporting them basically crushes the hopes and dreams of a young girl… You don’t want to be responsible for that.)
Before you go out and support the band learn more about my niece and her band Shrink the Giant by watching their award winning video that was featured on “Mormon Messages”. (It’s from last year so some of the info is outdated… Such as they have already released their first album… But their message of awesome is still the same)

Shrink the Giant won the battle of the Bands! They were tied for first place with 30 seconds left…three votes came in literally at the last second and they won. Thank you to all that voted. Unlike a Presidential race, your vote here actually counted.
Come see them this next Saturday September 29th at the Toyota and X96 sponsored bash at the Gallivan Center. Doors open at 1:00. Shrink the Giant with be the opening band.
