Blizzards in July

You read that right, it’s time for Blizzards in July.  And with all this heat would a snow storm be great?  But I am not talking about a pile of the white fluffy stuff.  I am talking about a cup full of creamy, cold, candy filled goodness.  Yup, you’ve guessed it, a Dairy Queen Blizzard.  Doesn’t that sound like the perfect way to beat the heat?  Now, you have more reasons than ever to cool down thanks to Miracle Treat Day.

Only July 26th, 2012 Chilren’s Miracle Network has teamed up with Dairy Queen for a Blizzardtastic event.  For every Blizzard purchased, on Miracle Treat Day, DQ will donate $1 to YOUR LOCAL CMN Hospital.  And if you are in Utah that means our beloved Primary Children’s Medical Center will benefit from your sweet tooth.

Children’s Miracle Network has a goal to raise 1 Billion dollars each year.  And if you are like me you want to know where those dollars are spent.  After attending a luncheon, with Emily, I learned just how much good your $1 can do.  It will not only help pay for research and equipment but also the care for those who are unable to pay.  It can also help a dying child’s family pay for transportation to say their last bittersweet goodbyes.

After hearing from this amazing little guy and his mother about the difference that their local CMN hospital made in their lives I knew I had to get involved.  I am sure you are wondering what else you can do besides partaking in several amazingly delicious Blizzard treats and I won’t leave you hanging:

  • RSVP on Facebook to attend Miracle Treat Day.  DQ will donate $1 for every like up to 5,000
  • Share photos of you and your family enjoying a Blizzard on your favorite networking sites like Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.  And of course use the hashtag #miracletreatday so we can all follow along.

So, who else is joining me in double fisting their favorite Blizzard treat?
